The Newcomer
Amina Ali came to Windsor from Somalia in 2016. She left her home country because of the war, and she was looking for a place where she could start a new life.
Amina has been living in Windsor for two years now, and she is slowly starting to feel at home. She has learned English, she has made friends, and she has found a job.
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to live in Canada," says Amina. "Windsor is a great city, and I am happy to be here."
The Entrepreneur
Mark Smith is the owner of a small business in Windsor. He started his business in 2012, and it has been growing ever since.
Mark is passionate about helping his community. He is a member of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, and he volunteers his time with several local organizations.
"I believe that businesses have a responsibility to give back to their communities," says Mark. "I am proud to be a part of the Windsor community, and I want to do my part to make it a better place."
The Artist
Sarah Jones is a local artist. She has been painting murals in Windsor for the past five years, and her work can be seen all over the city.
Sarah's art is inspired by the people and places of Windsor. She wants to capture the spirit of the city and share it with the world.
