Rhodes also became involved in politics and in 1881 was elected to the Cape Colony Parliament. He quickly rose through the ranks and in 1890 became Prime Minister. As Prime Minister, Rhodes pursued a policy of British imperialism and played a key role in the Scramble for Africa. He also founded the British South Africa Company, which was granted a charter to administer the territory that became Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe and Zambia).
Vision for a New World Order
Rhodes was a strong believer in British imperialism and had a vision for a new world order based on British supremacy. He believed that the British Empire was a force for good in the world and that it was Britain's duty to spread its civilization to other parts of the world. Rhodes also believed that the British Empire should be united under a single government and that this government should be based in London.
Rhodes's vision for a new world order was influenced by a number of factors, including his experience in South Africa, his reading of history, and his personal beliefs. He believed that the British Empire was the best hope for peace and prosperity in the world and that it was Britain's duty to lead the world towards a better future.
Legacy

He was a brilliant businessman and politician who played a key role in the development of South Africa and the British Empire. However, he was also a ruthless imperialist who believed in the superiority of the British race. Rhodes's legacy is complex and contested, but there is no doubt that he was one of the most important figures in the history of the British Empire.
