Jefferson died at his home in Monticello, Virginia, in 1826. He was 83 years old.

John Adams

John Adams was born in Braintree, Massachusetts, in 1735. He was the son of a farmer and a devout Puritan. Adams was a brilliant student and attended Harvard College. After graduating from college, Adams began to practice law.

Adams was also a successful politician. He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Continental Congress. In 1776, Adams was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

After the war, Adams served as the first minister to Great Britain. He was also the first Vice President of the United States under President George Washington. In 1797, Adams was elected President of the United States.

Adams was a strong believer in the rule of law and the importance of a strong national government. He also believed in the importance of education and the arts. Adams' policies helped to shape the United States into the nation it is today.

Adams died at his home in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1826. He was 90 years old.
